Professional Experience
Dr. Fakrul Alam (born July 20, 1951) is a Bangladeshi academic, writer, and translator. He specializes in literary matters and postcolonial issues and has translated works by Jibanananda Das and Rabindranath Tagore into English. Alam has been honored with the Bangla Academy Literary Award (2012) for translation literature and the SAARC Literary Award (2012).
